Things have changed since I last wrote on my blog. As of 28 SEPT 2011 my divorce was finalized. I cannot say I'm happy about it because that would be a lie but I am happier than I have been in years. I do not regret getting married young, what and where I have been in my life because everything has brought me up to where I am today but I know I am where I am supposed to be and I will get married again someday.
I'm down 20lbs since the 4th of July. I started with my new personal trainer yesterday. I started a new blog but I'm going to make it private because I am posting pictures on there I don't want the whole world seeing until I get to where I feel comfortable flaunting it to the world. But those who are close to me will defintely be on the list for that. My goal is to be at goal weight of 150lbs by my 25th birthday which is just under 6 months to go. Actually 26 weeks away from tomorrow. 80 lbs in 6 months and I totally got this!
I'm enjoying my time with my friends and family. Getting back in touch with my roots and enjoying life again in a way I haven't done in years. Cheers to the future. Thank you for all the support the past year and some change. I love you guys!

I'm learning to be domesticated!
I'm learning one project at a time! I used to sew when I was in High School, no really! My Grandma, Mom and Mother-in-law are expert sewers and I just hope I have half their talent! I fell in love with pinterest.com, seriously go check it out! Tons of DIY projects that I can't wait to start.
Yesterday I went and bought new sheets, comforter and then headed to Joann Fabric to buy well, fabric! I'm going to cover our decorative pillows from our old bedrom set, make lamp shades (they are currently black) , some curtains to block out the pesky neighbors and light up the room a little! I'll post pictures when I'm done!
I'm also starting to make wreaths! There are tons of tutorials and while I love love love the $15 Target ones that they have for every season, I just can't afford that right now in our life and why not take some time to make my own (one for every holiday & season!) and also get really good so I can make them for holidays, birthdays & celebrations! My grandma already wants one :) I'll post pictures when I get a few done too. I'm just excited to finally be using my craft room. I'm sure Brian is too as he painted and put it together for me last September! A little late is better than never at all!
I hired my sister to be my motivator/personal trainer. She's freaking brutal and honest and while I like to say I hate it I know it's the only thing keeping me going. I'm down 6 lbs and have 60+ to go. My sister says if I get down to a size 12 she'll buy me a whole new wardrobe, what other motivation do I need?
Brian's out of school for summer and working on all the honey-do lists around the house and within the next 2 weeks will start painting the house, I promised to do the trim and fence outside. Busy busy little bee's we are! Summer is finally here, my flowers are blooming like crazy and my garden is coming in nicely!
I'll be around more. Promise!

15 Reasons I Love My Husband
I think everyone once in a while you need to focus on the positives and not the negatives. Right now is one of those times. I'm trying to learn how to respect my husband whole heartedly and why not start it off with this!
15 Reasons I Love My Husband
1. I know he trusts me completely. Which is really, really refreshing to know.
2. I'm proud of the fact that he joined the Marines to be able to afford school, and despite a 5.5 year break, is doing amazing in his first semester! (which ends in 2 weeks already!)
3. He is one of the handiest men I know. He can fix anything. Ok maybe not everything... But he tries until he either gets it or knows he needs a professional. Also, I'm so glad he will come running when I find a bug or spider and kill it for me b/c the good lord knows I did enough of that when he was in Iraq.
4. He is very handsome. This really shouldn't be important to me, but I love that when I see him I smile.
5. Who knew he was such a good cook? He may ask me for a recipe 5 times, but it turns out great!
6. I love when he finds something he is passionate about and can't wait to tell me about it.
7. That he calls it like he sees it. Even if I don't like what he has to say.
8. That I know he would buy me the moon if that's what I wanted.
9. He may think all my ideas are crazy, but he still tells me to go for it.
10. Because he provides for our family and our future.
11. He says he likes everything I cook.
12. He is self sufficient... if I didn't clean, he would do it. If I didn't do the laundry he will just put in a load and do it. No prompting necessary.
13. That even through our rollercoaster of a life the past 4+ years, he's still as confident as he was the day we got married.
14. When I told him a month or two ago that I wasn't sure if I ever wanted to have children he didn't get upset. He said we would handle it when the time came and if that's what I wanted he was ok with it.
15. We have this ESP thing. I swear he always knows when something is wrong. Honestly, it's quite scary.

Spring has sprung!
Easter was fantastic in Minnesota. I spent a wonderful few hours with my family playing basketball, four square, hiding the Easter eggs for the egg hunt for the younger cousins and flying kites around my uncle's neighborhood. It was the perfect Sunday afternoon. Then over to Brian's parents where we (Brian, Tim, my BIL and myself) had our own Easter egg hunt filled with money!! wahooooooooo. I made out with $14.25! And some sunburned Rosy cheeks to boot!
Spring is finally here, as I type this it's pouring outside. The grass is greening up, my lillies are growing out of the ground and the tree's are getting some buds on them. I'm already ready for May to be here. We had snow multiple times in April and I am definitely not used to that after the last 3 years in North Carolina. Overall I am very happy to be home but could do without the 6 months of winter we had this past fall/winter/spring. We've been working on raking up the yard, transplanting our seedling vegetables to pots and doing some landscaping around the house. Brian has 3 more weeks of class before finals and registers for summer/fall semesters tomorrow. He's decided on engineering and the next 2.5 years will be interesting for the both of us.
Not too much else on the Fulton home front. Life is busy, work is getting busy, spending more time with friends and family and what little time Brian and I can get in between our non-correlating schedules.
until next time....

Who gets excited over pillows?
ME!!!
Brian and I have had a crazy busy day. We transplanted our vegetables, planted our sunflowers ouside (which my mom has now told me I did too early, oops!) We crushed 9 months worth of cans my husband has been neglecting since we moved home, that took over an hour itself! We raked the backyard and burned all the twigs and sticks. My puppies are exhausted from all the excitement! I cleaned out my flower beds and I'm SO ready to plant my mixed flowers once they grow another 2-3 inches. The house is clean, bedding is freshly washed, bathroom is spotless, laundry is in the dryer and now I'm off to Target to buy... pillows. Yep, on a Saturday night. What in the world is my life becoming? My sister told me I need more hobbies, I just told her she'll understand after she's been married for almost 4 years and has pillows that needed to see the bottom of my garbage can. Until next time.... keep smiling :)

my little brother is no longer a teenager and a life update!
My little brother, Matt turned 20 today. At 6:25am to be exact! Happy Birthday Matt-man! I turned 24 nine days ago, and the day started crappy but ended up on a great note. I love my family and my friends. I got off the plane from Texas and had 20 emails from facebook wall posts and text messages. I had a great dinner with my family and ended up going to sleep with a smile on my face.
Work is picking up, finally. It's been a long 4 months of being very very bored and it's great to finally be able to use my skills. My birthday present from Brian arrived today. My kindle! I am a huge reader, always have been and it's going to be great to have something to slim to take to the beach, road trips (the millions we plan to take this summer!) and also just everyday times to enjoy a good book, and way cheaper!
The snow has melted in my yard, finally! Gosh this winter was long. I think it was finally ranked the 6th snowiest winter in Minnesota history, unbelievable! I'm so ready to get outside again, start running again and hit my weight loss goals. Brian and I are planning a few trips for this summer and I'm hoping to make it out to North Carolina at some point before the leaves start to turn. Yay for being a traveler!
Other than that not a whole lot going on. I'm paying off two of my school loans this month. Totaling 5k and it's so great to know I have less than 10k to go. Brian paid off the SUV today and so now all we have left is my school loans from the University of Phoenix and my Mazda. Which with a 0% financing it's only showing us being able to pay our bills on time so I'm just going to keep making those payments and we're starting to grow our savings for a 20% down payment on a house!
Brian is doing great in school although I am sure he wants to quit. He's so tired of studying every single night and can't wait for summer break. He finally choose his major, Electrical Engineering and I know he's going to do great!
Alright, that's enough of a novel. I want to get to the gym tomorrow morning before my appointment so I better get to sleep. Later loves!

A quote that couldn't be more real
So I was catching up on my weekend blogs since I didn't even turn on my computer yesterday and saw this quote someone had written,
" If you are not a naturally independent and self-reliant person when you marry into the military, you will become one. Sink or swim. Or get divorced."
Is that not far from the truth or what? Maybe it's just because of the conversation Brian and I had on our drive home from my dad's last night about how he was so glad he married me, knew right away and that we are so much simpler people because of being in the Marines but then again so happy that we are out.
I *LOVE* him.
